The Walking Club of Georgia is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the support of all aspects of walking. Founded in 1987, the club now boasts over 350 members. It is the only walking club in the state of Georgia that is a member of USA Track & Field.

Club activities include weekly walks at various locations around Atlanta, and monthly hikes in the North Georgia mountains. We also participate in local races and many other events. Free clinics for beginning racewalkers are offered on Sunday mornings and at other times.

Our members are fitness walkers, racewalkers, and hikers at every level of ability and every degree of competitiveness - we have members who are beginning walkers and members who are champion racewalkers.

We publish an outstanding monthly newsletter that includes stories about club activities, a schedule of events, and articles on walking, racewalking technique, and health and fitness.

Membership in the Club and participation in Club activities will give you information, motivation and opportunities to pursue your fitness goals!

You'll find lots of Walking Club information on this site, but please refer to the "Contact Us" page if you need additional information
